Common questions about our nano tattoo services, process, and what to expect.
What is cosmetic tattooing and who is it for?

Cosmetic tattooing is a personalized, semi-permanent beauty service that enhances your natural features or restores what time or life may have changed. It's perfect for anyone looking to save time on their daily makeup routine, enhance sparse brows, or restore definition lost due to aging, medical conditions, or over-plucking.
Microblading vs Nano Brow Technique?

Brow tattooing — particularly the hairstroke technique — can go by many names. At its core, there are two main methods: one performed manually with a handheld tool, and the other done entirely with a tattoo machine. While both techniques are designed to mimic the look of natural hair, their application, healing, and longevity differ. Nano brow technique uses a machine with ultra-fine needles, providing more consistent results, less trauma to the skin, and longer-lasting pigment retention compared to manual microblading.
How many appointments will I need?

Two appointments are typically needed to reach your desired result. The initial appointment is followed by a touch-up session 6 weeks later. This allows the skin to fully heal and the pigment to settle, ensuring we can perfect any areas that may have faded or need adjustment.

After your 6 week touchup appointment, you can expect to refresh your tattoo every 1.5-3 years. This is of course depending on various factors such as skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, aftercare, etc. but I like my clients to wait as long as possible between refresh appointments to ensure we aren't oversaturating the skin. This will ensure a natural, long-lasting result. If you're ever unsure, you can always reach out with pictures for guidance.

Most clients describe the feeling as slight discomfort rather than pain. On a scale of 1–10, the average rating is usually around a 2 or 3 at most. I also apply a numbing agent throughout the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible. In fact, about 95% of my clients end up falling asleep while I'm working so pain is truly the least of your worries.
What if I have previous work?

I do my best and most natural work on non-tattooed skin and will always recommend you remove unwanted work first before placing more ink into the skin. That being said, I do take clients with previous work on a case-by-case basis. This mainly depends on how much pigment you have leftover and what your desired service/outcome is. New clients must obtain prior approval from me through email before booking an initial session. Just attach clear photos of your brows and include general information like when you last had them done and how many sessions in total. I'll refer you to a laser technician if needed for removal.
What should I expect during the healing process?

A mild sunburn-like sensation over the brow area is normal after the procedure. The color will appear bold on the first day since the ink is fresh, but keep in mind that it will lighten significantly once healed. On the second day, your brows may look slightly darker due to the ink oxidizing, this is completely normal and temporary. Over the following days, you may experience some scabbing and flaking - this is part of the natural healing process. It's crucial to follow aftercare instructions carefully to ensure optimal results.
What does an appointment typically look like?

Every initial appointment begins with a thorough consultation where we talk about your end goal and what it's going to take to get there. It's always helpful to bring pictures of what you do and don't like to better lead me in the right direction. We'll begin the mapping process where I'll draw your new shape/hairstrokes in pencil. This will give you a general idea of what the end goal will look like. Once you've approved of the drawing, I'll mix your custom colors and we'll begin the tattoo which normally takes around 1.5-2 hours. Once your new brows are complete, I'll take after photos, review your aftercare instructions in detail, and provide you with all the supplies you'll need for proper healing.
